WinStar World Casino And Resort 350 Recap

WinStar World Casino And Resort 350 Recap

We finished out another fantastic weekend here at WinStar! It was full of winning, fast cars and of course some WinStar swag. The biggest event of all was the WinStar World Casino and Resort 350 at Texas Motor Speedway held on Halloween night. It was an exhilarating race to say the least. If you missed it, I’m here to fill you in!

The events started early at the Midway. We had a beautiful tent set up where guests could come and try their hand at winning WinStar swag. All visitors had the opportunity to spin a wheel for a chance to win a variety of items: playing cards straight from the WinStar Blackjack tables, car flags, bags, bandannas, cups, flashlights, scarves, bike bottles and more! In addition, all guests 18 and over got the chance to take their luck to the casino with a voucher for Bonus play! We had a lot of happy winners, which started the day out on a high note.

Have you ever wanted to be the person who waves the green flag at the beginning of a race? Or be the race Grand Marshall who shouts, “Drivers, start your engines!” over the roar of racecars? We were thrilled to have several of our VIPs do just that in the pre-race ceremonies! WinStar VIPs got to sit shotgun for this event as they attended the driver/crew chief meeting and rode in the Texas Motor Speedway and WinStar World Casino and Resort 350 Pace Cars.

Just after dark, the racing began. The flag dropped and the cars took off leaving behind a cheering, enthusiastic crowd. You may think that after several laps, the excitement would die down, but it increased with each zip around the track.

The race was neck in neck towards the end! Kyle Busch, driver of the #51 ToyotaCare Toyota, pulled ahead just in time to take home the win as we anxiously watched the green and white-checkered overtime finish from Victory Lane. This was Busch’s third win at WinStar World Casino and Resort 350- his previous victories being in 2009 and 2010. During his winning interview, he said, “It’s pretty awesome to be in victory lane.” We certainly agree with that statement.

Jeb Burton finished behind Busch stating, “That was probably the best race truck we’ve had all year and it was cool to have a Toyota one-two finish.”

Congratulations to Kyle Busch and all the other racers who made this an unforgettable night for us. We cannot wait until June to do it again at the WinStar World Casino and Resort 400. In the meantime, please check out our Facebook page for pictures of the event.
