It’s that time of year again! The time of year when jackets have been dug out from the bottom of the closet, football is the only thing on everyone’s television and decorated pumpkins are starting to show up on doorsteps. Fall is upon us, which means a lot of exciting events are coming up. One of those being the WinStar World Casino and Resort 350 at Texas Motor Speedway!
The WinStar World Casino and Resort 350 is a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race that takes place at Texas Motor Speedway located in Fort Worth, Texas. This annual event brings race enthusiasts from all over Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana and other states. WinStar’s relationship with Texas Motor Speedway began in the early 2000s, but in 2009 we became the official sponsors of this race. This race was previously known as:
O’Reilly 300 (1999)
O’Reilly 400 (2000)
Silverado 350 (2001-2003)
Silverado 350K (2004-2008)
For those of you less familiar with the sport, the number in the name of the eventis the distance in which the racers will travel during this particular race. It also has changed over the years, but for now it will stay at 350 kilometers, or 220.5 miles- that’s 147 laps! Each lap will have you on the edge of your seat. You don’t want to miss a second of this!
Since we became the official sponsors, the winners have been: Kyle Busch (2009-2010), Kevin Harvick (2011), Johnny Sauter (2012), and Ty Dillon (2013). We wish all drivers the very best of luck and we look forward to seeing who will take the trophy this year!
The racing is thrilling and certainly the main event of the night, however, the fun gets started earlier in the afternoon with booths on the Midway that offer food, activities, souvenirs for purchase and even free swag. You can enjoy something tasty, do some shopping and play games while you wait for the flag to drop.
