The Global Event Center Box Office: A Sneak Peek

The Global Event Center Box Office: A Sneak Peek

The Box Office: While it may be the smallest room in the world’s largest casino, it plays a key role in our everyday routine. Yes, they sell tickets, but they also do an array of tasks that allow our patrons to have the best possible experience during their visit. I recently had the pleasure of speaking with Jessica Huerta, Box Office manager, and she gave me a sneak peek into what it’s like to be a Box Office employee.

The Global Event Center Box Office, located in our Rome Gaming Plaza, is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. During those hours, employees are busy with a variety of things. On non-show days (typically Sunday through Thursday), the team is busy answering questions regarding upcoming events, acting as a Players Club desk, and selling tickets. They also act as a help center desk. Patrons frequently stop by to ask questions. I was curious to see how a show day differed from a non-show day, so I asked. Jessica’s answer, in short: very busy! First off, the number of staff on hand for show days increases from 6 to 10— triple the amount of employees as on a non-show day! Due to the large number of people coming to pick up their tickets, every station is open. There are people in line to buy tickets and to pick up tickets, so you can imagine how long the line gets for a venue that seats 3,500 people! While it’s controlled and organized chaos on show days, Jessica said “it’s exciting to see the patrons ready for the show.”

Jessica, along with the Global Event Center Manager, Stephanie Callaway, make it a priority to “bring (patrons) the best entertainment”. It’s their job to book entertainment for the Global Event Center along with the Palladium Sports Lounge, Skyline Lounge, MIST, and Weekends After Dark. I think they’re doing a fantastic job of it, too! We have a lot of world-class acts coming up, such as Keith Urban and Brad Paisley, just to name a few. For a complete list of all concerts and events, visit our website.

Here’s some additional information Jessica thought you might find helpful.

  • For your convenience, the Global Event Center is a Ticketmaster venue. Patrons are encouraged to buy tickets online at or by calling 800-877-7575.
  • Tickets can also be purchased in-person at the Global Event Center Box Office.
  • On your show day, pick up your tickets as early as possible to avoid long lines. Any time between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. is generally a good bet. The line at the Box Office grows quickly as show time nears!
  • Meet-and-Greets are coordinated through either the artist’s fan club or your Casino Host. The Box Office does not coordinate those.

I would like to thank Jessica for taking time out of her busy schedule to answer my questions. It’s always fun learning more about the different departments and team members at WinStar World Casino and Resort!
