Two country music legends bring you a night to remember, with their chart-topping songs and memories of the 1980 hit movie, Urban Cowboy. It’s Mickey Gilley and Johnny Lee at the WinStar World Casino and Resort Global Event Center, with a matinee special on Sunday, October 25 at 3:00 PM.
These two have earned 38 chart singles, including 20 No. 1 hits, like Gilley’s “Room Full of Roses,” “Don’t the Girls All Get Prettier at Closing Time,” and Lee’s “Cherokee Fiddle” and “Lookin’ for Love.” Mickey Gilley shot to fame with his musical fusion of country, rock, blues and R&B. An important part of the urban cowboy movement, Gilley racked up 16 No. 1 hits. All the while, Johnny Lee worked as a back-up singer and trumpeter in Gilley’s band and was a guest headliner at Gilley’s Texas nightclub. Lee’s distinct style can be heard on “Lookin’ for Love,” a million-seller and the musical centerpiece of the 1980s film Urban Cowboy, filmed at Gilley’s club.
Now, see both country legends at WinStar’s Global Event Center, October 25 at 3:00 PM. Doors open at 1:30 PM.
