When asked why you go to a casino, the obvious answer is to play games. But at WinStar World Casino and Resort, the answers are endless! One might answer any of the following: attend a concert, relax by the pool, play a round of golf or enjoy a delicious meal, to name a few. One of my favorite things to do at WinStar is to eat! We have 19 restaurants to choose from, each offering a unique experience. One of our most popular restaurants is founded by Oklahoma’s own Toby Keith.
The name of the restaurant was inspired by one of Toby Keith’s greatest hits, “I Love This Bar.” With a spacious bar, country music blasting from the speakers, and the American flag proudly displayed, it’s easy to see the good timin’ country theme. Adding to this theme is a stage where bands perform every Friday and Saturday night, and room. A bar wouldn’t be complete without TVs, and they have several scattered all over the restaurant. There is also a gift shop where you can purchase souvenirs
Now, on to the subject we all care about most—food! You can’t go wrong with anything you choose, but in case it’s your first time, here are some suggestions: For an appetizer, the cheese fries are a must. It’s a pile of hot fries topped with jack and cheddar cheese, bacon, sour cream and green onions. If you want something spicy, ask your server to add jalapenos to your order!
For the main course, it’s a three-way tie between the chicken fried steak with country gravy, St. Louis Ribs smothered in their signature BBQ sauce, or the juicy, hand-cut ribeye. Nearly every dish comes with a small salad plus two additional sides. My personal favorites are okra, baked potato and their freedom fries. Mix and match as you please.
For dessert, you must go with the classic pecan pie. It’s a perfect slice of heaven served with a dollop of whip cream. It’s almost too good to be true. I’m sure your mouth is watering by now, so I’ll mention one last —alcohol! Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar and Grill offers 27 bottled beers and 16 different wines. Their specials on alcohol vary, but one thing that stays the same is the $1.75 price of Busch Light, PBR, and Miller High Life every single day!
There could be a surprise with your dinner. Toby Keith himself has been known to surprise customers by showing up at his own establishments unexpectedly! A beer, chicken fried steak and a greeting from the man himself? Now, that IS a bar to love!
